Cost of hiring a SEO service

I am a newcomer to the industry of SEO and want to hire someone to help me with my website SEO. Do you know how much it cost? I would also like to know if there reputable companies approached me. One of my friends do to optimize your website on his, but he knew the basics of SEO. I am seeking professional help. "An increase in Page Rank also lead to increased sales conversion? Please help me. I would appreciate any suggestions.
