Now, there is another product joining the tablet wars – WePad. It is a German-made unit by Neofonie that promises “fast Internet connectivity, a complete world of ready-to-use applications and easy access to books and photos, as well as magazines and newspapers from various publishers via the WeMahazine ePublishing Eco System.”
You know, because “we” is plural of “I”? Yeah, it’s a stretch. Specs wise, it seems that the device is more powerful than the Apple iPad.

In addition, Neofonie has its own publishing platform called WeMagazine mainly used to make newpapers and magazines readable on computers and smartphones. The plan to adopt this technology on WePad in a move will make them compete not only with iPad, but with the Amazon Kindle as well.
Although the WePad is not yet available for sale and a price has not yet been set, it will hit the German market prior to iPad. However, the two powerful tablets can not play Blu-ray and DVD movies directly. So it is necessary to convert Blu-ray and DVD to iPad or WePad workabe formats.
