Hi,

Yes, Some of the websites had poor traffic because they have not promote their site as well. They have to do promotions for their site, like social networking, social bookmarking if it is shopping site want to submit their product to social shopping sites and product sites. By this promotions strategies I hope that kind of websites will get huge traffic.

Thanks

NO
Our website is the second in Google under the main websites KW, but we have very poor traffic.
So, it does not affect.

It is not always clear how traffic affects SERP but definitely for certain keywords traffic does have an effect. Google monitors the traffic to all the search results and makes adjustments based on the data.

Well, traffic has nothing to do with SERP,..... to boost your traffic must promote your site regularly through link building.

I agree with the majority of replies in the negative.

I can grab a top spot virtually where ever I choose to and have very little traffic.

I am of the opinion that the 2 have no relation to each other.

a site can be farther down the page of a serp and have tons of traffic
another site can be #1 and have either ineffective keywords targeted or grab a top spot that is uncontested.

keywords from an seo point of view are one thing
keywords from a marketers point of view are or can be quite another.

case in point: Before the Warriors, marketers would dream up a 'widget' and foist said widget on the public
Many Warriors wake up in the morning not knowing what they're going to promote that day, they check the keyword trends to see what the public wants and give that to them via ebay or amazon.com and pocket the commissions

I'm finding out that if we want to take a top spot from whoever occupies said spot, it comes down to a war of attrition.
If he's been there for some time (and complacent with his standing in Google) he wont build a blog.
so if I match him and I ADD a blog... i win/ he loses.

If I want a spot that has a lousy webpage and the only reason Google selected his site as being the dominant site is because it went uncontested... I find it ridiculously easy to take those spots from the ill advised webmaster

I also Agree. I think the traffic doesn't have much to do with position. Except of course backlinks are counted. So with little traffic its more likely to have little backlinks meaning a worse position...
