Total Validator is a free one-stop all-in-one validator comprising a HTML validator, an accessibility validator, a spelling validator, a broken links validator, and the ability to take screenshots with different browsers to see what your web pages really look like.

Since its release in 2005 Total Validator has become extremely popular with Web developers around the world. Over a million pages a year are validated using the online service. Many more millions of validations are performed using the desktop tool, of which over a quarter of a million copies have been downloaded. Yet we only receive a few emails each year from users with real problems showing just how reliable and accurate the service is.

HTML Validator is a Mozilla extension that adds HTML validation inside Firefox and Mozilla. The number of errors of a HTML page is seen on the form of an icon in the status bar when browsing. The extension can validate the HTML sent by the server or the HTML in the memory (after Ajax execution). The details of the errors are seen when looking the HTML source of the page.

A validator is a computer program used to check the validity or syntactical correctness of a fragment of code or document. The term is commonly used in the context of validating HTML, CSS and XML documents or RSS feeds though it can be used for any defined format or language.
